Alderney is the third largest of the Channel Islands and is one of the principal islands of the Bailiwick of Guernsey.  It is roughly 3.5 miles long by 1.5 miles at its widest. It is just 8 miles from mainland France. Unlike the other Channel Islands, it owns 3 miles of the seabed around its Islands.

Alderney has its own democratically elected government able to create its own laws, presided over by a President and ten States Members.  There is no E.U interference in Alderney’s affairs.

Alderney is the only Channel Island with no property purchasing restrictions for British, EU and Old Commonwealth citizens.

Mainland UK is about 45 minutes by regular daily flights Jersey and Guernsey about 15 mins.

Telecommunications are excellent, with reliable broadband services readily available.  There are several internet based businesses prevalent on the island.
